New Primark stores in the U.S.
Primark is preparing the opening of 3 new stores in the U.S, specifically in 2 different states: Texas and Illinois. The main reason why the company is opening more stores is because many people are looking for cheaper clothes and home products, and Primark is known for offering affordable prices.
The first store opened in Katy, Texas, on November 20. This store is at the Katy Mills mall, which is about 30 minutes from Houston city. Primark says this store offers a mix of modern clothes, essential products, home products, beauty products, and more! Of course, it still keeps low prices, which is why the brand is very popular. On the same day, the second store opened in Gurnee (Illinois) at the Gurnee Mills mall.
The third store in Texas will open on December 4 somewhere called Grapevine Mills, located between Dallas and Fort Worth. With this opening, Primark would have 4 stores in the state of Texas, which proves the company is growing a lot in that area.
Products and affordable prices
Why is Primark so popular? Of course, it’s its cheap products. For example, in these new stores you could buy men’s t-shirts from $5, women’s denim starting at $12, and kids’ sweatshirts for $8. Primark says that at these prices, families can create complete outfits for under $50, which makes shopping more affordable for many households.
Apart from clothes, Primark also sells other types of products like home decoration, suitcases, perfumes, beauty products, press-on nails, and skincare products. Some of these products go from $1.30, which strengthens its popularity for being an accessible store for everybody no matter their budgets.
The growth
These new stores are part of a bigger expansion plan in the U.S., mostly in the south and the mid-west of the country. According to the president of the U.S. Primark, Kevin Tulip, the company is excited to open new stores because these new stores reflect the great interest shoppers have to find cheap products without losing quality. He says the goal is to keep growing while offering great fashion and good prices for every family.
At this moment, Primark already has about 37 stores opened in the U.S., some of them can be found in: New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Texas. There is one store in Maryland, Connecticut, North Carolina, and Michigan, while Virginia and Tennessee each have two stores.
What’s more, the company has also recently signed new leases to open more stores in Florida, Georgia, and Minnesota; including one at the popular Mall of America.
