The perfect exercise for women over 50—strengthen your body, improve flexibility, and prevent falls

It’s official—a hidden Roman camp has been discovered at 2,200 meters in the Swiss Alps—projectiles, sandal nails, and the seal of Legio III reveal that the Romans dominated the Alps

It’s official—geologists identify a “supergiant” gold deposit that could be worth more than $80 billion

Bank of America will be opening more than 150 branches in the coming years. Yes! You read it right, they are going to open physical branches. Maybe this sounds a little bit strange or surprising to you, even more if we think that we live in a world where we usually tend more and more to the digitalization (and where we forgot the human contact), all is done by screens… Until now (at least for this Bank’s users!)

This is an incredible effort made by this brand to attend users’ necessities, understood as a titanic effort, $5,000 millions will be invested in its new network of branches, we remind you once again that they will be ending 2027 with 150 more offices.

As Holly O’Neill, president of consumer and Preferred banking, explained, they want to make their plan clear: to be where the client wants, whether digital or face to face. And what better than that than to create spaces where they can sit quietly with an advisor and plan their finances, answer questions, whatever they need, without rush or screens in between.

The crown jewel: New York

Within this ambitious expansion plan, they have marked Manhattan with a big star where they will open a different branch, designed for meetings based on the mythical spirit of Bryant Park: tables, chill chairs with unique decoration: a local artist will design the New York office. An example of the constant movement of the city itself and of finance? Of course.

Idaho, another key point

Of course, they will not only expand in the Big Apple, Idaho is also another of their key expansion points, which is why they will arrive in Boise, where until now, Bank of America did not have a physical presence. There will be four financial centres opening in this area, the first will open its doors on June 9 in Nampa.

According to Will Smayda, the director of financial centres, they are proud and excited about this expansion because they will not only open doors, they will generate jobs and begin what will surely be a fruitful relationship with the local community.

More than a decade investing in physical presence

This is not something new, since 2014, Bank of America has not stopped expanding its network of financial centres, they have entered 11 new markets (the last in Louisville last year), and since 2016 they have opened 471 more branches in their current markets. Only last year they renovated more than 3,000 offices, and in the next two years they will make another 500 renovations.

In addition, many of these branches now display works by artists with disabilities or people experiencing homelessness, thanks to a collaboration with ArtLifting. In total, there are already 1,600 offices decorated with these pieces.

A true demonstration of their social and community commitment. Hats off, Bank of America.

More accessibility

If you thought the news ended there, wait a little more. This year, Bank of America has launched a new service that aims to approach in a more inclusive way a sector of the population that, unfortunately, is often not taken into account: an American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation service in absolutely all its branches. Through a QR, they will be able to connect with an interpreter by video and talk about their finances without suffering the language barrier.

More closeness, but also digital

Without losing sight of the digital future, this bank offers access to almost 250 million people (in more than 200 markets!), almost 82% of the U.S. population. And it is precisely there where they want to continue doing their work, more than 10 million appointments with specialists just in the last year!! In a world where everything is now done digitally, Bank of America makes it clear to us that face-to-face interactions count. And a lot!
