Starting June 1, 2025, all license-related procedures in Texas must be done exclusively through TxT. That means if you need to renew your license, update your address, or replace lost cards, you’ll have to use this platform. Vehicle and boat registrations will also be handled through TxT.

You’ll have no problem accessing it on a phone, tablet, or laptop, it works on all of them. And best of all, it’s built from scratch, meaning it doesn’t inherit the problems of the old DPS portal, so it should have fewer errors and fewer crashes.
