According to an official statement, Starbucks will launch drinks that will provide you between 15 and 36 grams of protein per grande serving (16 ounces). This is part of the company’s strategy to modernize its menu and offer options that adapt to new consumption trends.
The Protein Lattes will be prepared with milk rich in protein whereas some cold drinks will include the popular Cold Foam, but with an extra od protein. These cold options will have between 19 and 26 grams of protein per drink.
The company itself pointed out that: “These new protein beverages are part of the company’s strategy to drive innovation and modernize its menu.”
Cold Foam success
One of the biggest and recent successes from Starbucks is the Cold Foam, a frothy milk topping that, in some versions, includes a dense cream to give a richer texture.
Since its launching, the Cold Foam has become a favorite among customers. The company confirms that it’s 1 out of 7 ordered drinks, so this success has made Starbucks to experiment with new versions with proteins that will be available this fall.
