New York comes loaded with a $400 check for many families! Yes, you are reading that right, the state of NY wants to give a hand to families that meet the requirements to help with inflation, this way they can compensate for the cost of living in one of the most expensive states in the country.

What are these checks?

Who will receive those $400?
Everything will depend on what money enters each household. Couples who file jointly and have incomes below $150,000 will receive the full check.
Singles with incomes under $75,000 will receive $200, and those in the range of $75,000 to $150,000 will receive $150. In the case of couples with incomes up to $300,000, the check will be $300.
The best part is that you don’t have to register, or fill out forms. The payments will arrive automatically to avoid delays and unnecessary paperwork.
Aid for families with children
Earlier we mentioned the Child Tax Credit, which is a credit where any family with children under 4 years old can receive up to $1,000, and for those children between 4 and 16 years old they can receive up to $500.
This expansion will help almost three million families, of which 200,000 are eligible for the check for the first time! The goal is that households (and especially children) do not have to deal with inflation. And this also encourages a bit the growth of birth rates in our country.
