Goodbye to the limits of creativity – the 10 most hated cars in the world – BMW, Nissan, Pontiac, and Tesla among them

Neither Honda nor Mazda – Toyota dominates in 2025 and consolidates its position as the world’s best-selling brand for this reason

No more blindly taking your car to the repair shop every time the warning light comes on—learning to read the Check Engine light changes the way you take care of your car in the United States

Can you imagine driving a car whose helper is a floating ball of light that talks to you? General Motors is doing that so you can stop imagining it and see it on its new model: the Buick Electra Orbit Concept, which was presented in Shanghai on August 5.

This car is more than a means of transport, it’s a clear evidence of how it could be the future of vehicles. Its most surprising feature is the living hologram, a kind of crystal ball that acts as an assistant of artificial intelligence (AI). This hologram can communicate with the driver in real time, and it seems like the car has life on its own. So, let’s find out more about this General Motors’ new car.

Buick Electra Orbit

This General Motors model proves how the company can combine a classic design with futuristic technology. Its appearance is inspired by Buick models from the 50s, which were popular for their elegant shapes and space style, but now they incorporate the most advanced technology of electric vehicles.

The front part of the vehicle is low and clean whereas the low part is soft and aerodynamic. All together, the design reflects the history of Buick, but also shows a vision of what’s coming.

Inside the car we can find the most peculiar thing: the living hologram, a bright sphere that floats above the dashboard.

A car that listens and responds

The inside of the Buick Electra Orbit seems like a car of the future. The holographic assistant with artificial intelligence is not a decoration, it’s the brain of the vehicle. This AI system can do many things, let’s have a look at what it can offer:

  • Adjusting the temperature and climate control inside the car.
  • Managing the entertainment system, including music, lighting, and more.
  • Responding to voice commands or even hand gestures, without you having to touch any buttons.
  • Learning your driving habits and preferences over time, so it can personalize your experience.

It’s called ‘’living hologram’’ because it’s not a fixed image, it moves, reacts, and it seems to have life on its own. Basically, when you talk it will respond to you; when you make a gesture, it will understand it. Incredible, right? This makes the Buick Electra Orbit to be different to any other vehicle General Motors have created.

Elegant and futuristic design

The outside of the Buick Electra Orbit is astonishing, it has: 24-inch wheels, a wide stance, and smooth fenders that make it look both strong and elegant. Then, the back of the car includes a split rear wing and side skirts, showing that this futuristic design is also meant for performance.

Now, let’s focus a bit more on the inside of the car since it combines minimalism and what’s natural. For this, General Motors used sustainable materials, soft ambient lights, and a clean design that makes you feel calm and that you are driving a luxury vehicle.

Even though General Motors has reduced some of its plans on electric vehicles in the last years, this model proves the company keeps putting its faith in innovation, sustainability and technological future.

The meaning behind the new General Motors model

This model shows General Motors’ vision: a future where driving is not about going from point A to point B, it’s about living a full experience, more human, more intuitive, and more respectful with the environment.

Isn’t it great that more companies are using technological advances to make our driving experiences more comfortable, and more eco-friendly too? We’ll see if the lucky people who have the chance of driving it will like the experience or not.
