Goodbye Delta and American Airlines – this is the airline with the best frequent flyer program to save on your travels

It’s official—the sale of Superman comic book #1 in the United States breaks the world record and redefines the vintage market, reaching $9.1 million and exceeding all expectations

It’s official—Trump suggests eliminating the federal income tax, which would impact millions of workers and the U.S. economy

Goodbye to the traditional American visa – The United States will allow legal entry to foreigners who pass an unprecedented immigration security test

Travelling a lot always has its perks, but have you ever stopped to think about which airline offers you the best in their frequent flyer program? Well, the competition is pretty hot right now, with all the airlines having their own programs to attract more travellers. Today, we’re giving you a complete analysis of which are the best airlines in the country and how you can make the most of these discounts, so… cleared for takeoff, let’s go!

American Airlines: AAdvantage

It was clear that this ranking would be led by one of the biggest companies, in this case, the AAdvantage program from American Airlines for 2025, which mainly aims to keep their most frequent travellers loyal by offering lifetime elite status and a much simpler structure of privileges than before.

Plus, their network of airlines is associated with British Airways, Qatar Airways, and Japan Airlines so you can earn points on top-tier international routes.

Ok, but what’s new with AAdvantage?

American Airlines has launched new co-branded cards exclusively with Citibank, making it easier for travellers to accumulate miles with every purchase (now it’ll be easier to get into VIP lounges and order onboard food, which is our favourite part, yummy!)

Flying Blue from Air France and KLM

Taking second place is Flying Blue, which stands out for its famous Promo Rewards that offer up to 50% off on selected flights every month! It also allows you to use miles for upgrades and has an extensive network of partner airlines like Delta and Korean Air.

What’s new with Flying Blue in 2025

This year, Flying Blue has introduced a “miles subscription” so you can buy monthly packages to ensure a steady flow of miles. They’ve also strengthened their partnerships with retail stores so you can earn miles with your daily shopping.

Aeroplan from Air Canada

Aeroplan, Air Canada’s program, is one of the most flexible on the market. Why? Because it offers companion vouchers for premium cabins and the ability to redeem miles not just for flights but also for hotels and exclusive experiences, so now, with the time you travel, you can also get a stay (or at least part of one). We love this plan!

Plus, it doesn’t have a small network since it includes Star Alliance giants like Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines.

And watch out for the 2-for-1 coupon from Amex, where members in Norway and Sweden can travel in premium cabins for half the usual miles… lucky them!

MileagePlus from United Airlines

United Airlines continues to bet big with MileagePlus, a program that mainly values loyalty. Ideal for those travelling to Europe, Asia, or South America, its PlusPoints system makes it easier to access elite status.

Not only that, but it has also added access to Starlink satellite internet for members, guaranteeing global connectivity no matter the destination. We love it!

What should you consider when traveling?

Mainly, you should consider what you need for your trips. You can decide based on whether you’re travelling domestically or abroad and whether you need domestic or international miles…

Of course, another thing to keep in mind is which company offers you the best program along with its partner companies, so you can always combine flexibility and promotions!

And above all, remember that not all miles are worth the same. Analyse how much it costs to redeem them and what restrictions there are, and decide which is best for you!

Which program wins in 2025?

We’re sorry to say there’s no single answer, but Flying Blue stands out for its regular discounts, while AAdvantage remains the king of domestic programs. Aeroplan shines in versatility for premium experiences, and MileagePlus is the choice for those prioritizing global alliances. What a mess!

You’ll have to base your decision, as we said, on how you travel and what you value most on a plane. Tell us what you choose!
