Buying a car can be a hard process, there are so many of them! Whether you want a new or second-hand car, a diesel or electric one or even the many features you can choose from. You may have heard a close person talking about their cars being so problematic because of the technology not working properly or other issues. Mazda is one of the brands which had some issues with manufacturing and clients are getting money from this. So, if you are a Mazda owner you will be interested in this.
The process of buying a car

Mazda and its technical problems
Even if you analyze in depth the features mentioned above, you could sometimes buy a car that does not work as promised. This is what happened to some of Mazda’s manufactured cars. Citizens of the United States collectively sued the brand because of technical issues in the cars’ equipment called Mazda Connect, like GPS, phone calls, music, and reverse cameras. Some of these issues were a danger for drivers because when they saw, for instance, the screen on and off on its own they were distracted by the unexpected situation.
There were many models of the brand that were sold with technical issues such as Mazdas 2, 3 and 6; and Mazdas CX-3, 5 and 9. As you can see, 6 types of models experiencing these problems were too many for the amount of American citizens buying these cars.
Legal agreement
Mazda was flooded with criticism and lawsuits because of this, so they offered some solutions for the owners of these troubled cars. The first one is extending the guarantee for 24 months more so that Mazda owners can get their cars fixed. The other solution is paying up to $1,750 depending on previous repairs their customers had to pay for.
Pay attention! This will not last forever. If you are an American Mazda affected owner and you have proof of the issues or the repairs you paid for the Mazda Connect system, you can be one of the beneficiaries of the agreement. You will have until the 2nd of July of 2025 to object or deny the agreement and the last day to make a claim is the 1st of August of the same year. Basically, you need to do all the paperwork in a month.
To sum up, you never know what can happen when you buy a car. Technology is not perfect and it can stop working at any moment, this is important to know. However, you need to be supported by companies because issues with technological systems have to do with the manufacturing, not with the client.
