The first flying motorcycle is now for sale and no, this isn’t sci-fi. Have you ever dreamed of flying through the sky like in Star Wars? Well, that dream is now a reality. What used to be something you’d only see in movies or video games has officially landed in real life: the first flying motorcycle is now available for pre-order. Yep, for real.

It is called the Volonaut Airbike, and it was created by a Polish company that clearly doesn’t believe in limits. This isn’t some futuristic concept or a prototype stuck in a lab — this is a working flying vehicle that people can actually buy. Remember when we thought electric cars were so futuristic? And now we are closer to flying! How crazy… So, let’s not waste more time and learn more about this futuristic motorcycle.

Not just a dream anymore

While other flying vehicles are usually made for professionals, pilots, or military use, the Airbike was designed with everyday people in mind. It’s meant to be easy to fly, compact, and totally personal — no pilot’s license required.

As of August 1, the Airbike is officially up for pre-order. That means you can reserve one today and (eventually) be one of the first people to own a real flying motorcycle. Sounds crazy? It kind of is.

Straight out of a sci-fi movie

This vehicle was designed by Tomasz Patan, who also created the Jetson One — another personal flying machine. This time, though, the design takes full inspiration from the flying bikes in Star Wars. It has no cockpit, no bulky controls — just a clean, sleek look that makes you feel like you are part of the future. And the best part? It’s made for people with no flying experience. You just hop on, lift off, and enjoy the ride.

No propellers, no problem

Most flying vehicles use big spinning propellers. Not this one. The Airbike uses four microturbines that generate thrust to lift it into the air — and keep it there. That means it flies without any visible blades, which makes it safer, smoother, and more aerodynamic. No risk of hitting anything with rotors, and no loud buzzing sounds either.

Lightweight, open, and ready to fly

Thanks to a combination of carbon fiber and 3D-printed parts, the Airbike weighs less than 40 kg. That’s incredibly light for a flying vehicle. This makes it easier to maneuver, faster to take off, and more efficient in the air.

Plus, since it doesn’t have a roof or a dashboard, you get a full 360° view while flying. Just imagine soaring through the air with nothing in front of you but the sky.

So, how much does it cost?

As it usually happens, there’s a catch, and it is a big one. Are you ready to know the price? The Volonaut Airbike costs $808,000. Yes, I know what you are thinking, that it’s literally cheaper to buy a house. But when you think about it, you’re not just buying a bike — you’re buying the future of personal flight. I mean, who could say they have a flying motorcycle?

A flying future

The truth is, not everyone is going to buy one of these right now. But the fact that it even exists — and is already up for sale — tells us something big: we are getting closer to drive through the sky as a normal way to move around, as we always dreamed of as a child.

So, what do you think? Would you like to ride one of these to work? Or just use it to escape traffic and fly over the city for fun?
