Hyundai is achieving a breakthrough in the new types of engines. The Korean company is developing a car that doesn’t use petrol or electricity, Hyundai is going for hydrogen engines! Companies like Tesla are getting more competitors fighting for the ‘pioneer engine’ title.

Hyundai’s new car
We are familiar with petrol, hybrid and electric cars, but the new thing will be hydrogen cars! Everybody knows about Tesla and its popular electric cars, but I am afraid a new car is coming to the market and Hyundai is in charge of that.

‘Project Initium’
Hyundai has been working on this hydrogen engine idea for about 27 years. In 2005, they built a special laboratory to find out ways to be environmentally friendly with their cars’ mechanism.
It is true this won’t be Hyundai’s first hydrogen car since they have released teh ix35 and then the NEXO, but the difference will be the highly advanced hydrogen engine thanks to these previous testing cars.
The new car will use the XCIENT engine which is capable of reaching around 250 miles without needing to recharge hydrogen. It will also be a SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) car, available for every family to use in their everyday life.
Why hydrogen?
Hydrogen is an invisible gas and very common in the universe, it is everywhere: in the water, clothes, animals and even our bodies. However, it is now used to make cars move.
This element is one of the cleanest ways to produce energy because it doesn’t emmit any smoke nor toxic gas. Here is a brief explanation of how this energy is produced:
First, hydrogen is kept in the cars as it would do with petrol and then it is mixed with oxygen in the engine. This produces electricity that makes tha car move with an electric engine. What’s more, what you will see getting out of the exhaust pipe is water vapor!
Hydrogen and the environment
As you can see in the process of the production of the electricity, hydrogen doesn’t damage the environment because it doesn’t emit any toxic material and it is very powerful for the purpose of Hyundai’s cars.
