Netflix is launching a new project, but, this time, it has nothing to do with series or movies at home. It’s called Netflix House, a space where fans could go and experience the worlds of their favorite stories from the platform. Two lucky cities in the United States will be the first ones where you could find this Netflix House.
We already know how successful Netflix is with its catalog of movies and series, but will their new project be as successful as the platform? We’ll see, so let’s get started!
Netflix House
We know what Netflix is, but Netflix House? Does this mean we could live on Netflix? This might be the dream for some people, but I’m afraid that’s not what the company is doing. This ‘’house’’ is a permanent space of more than 9,300 square meters in each headquarter. Its aim is that fans of series and movies from the platform can enjoy an immersive experience full of activities and attractions of: ‘’Wednesday’’, ‘’Stranger Things’’, ‘’Squid Game’’, ‘’One Piece’’ and ‘’A Knives Out’’ saga, among many.
If you decide to visit it, you could play games, take part in challenges and interactive adventures with very detailed environments that replicate known scenes and places from the platform productions.
Worried about feeling hungry? You shouldn’t be because here you will find a restaurant called Netflix Bites with thematic food and drinks. That’s not all! There’s also a shop which offers exclusive products of the platform series and movies.
How did this idea come about?
This was influenced by more than 40 live experiences the company has done in several cities around the world inspired on titles like ‘’Bridgerton’’, ‘’Money Heist’’, Stranger Things’’, ‘’Squid Game’’, ‘’The Perfect Bite’’ and ‘’Netflix Bites’’. According to Netflix, these experiences have been visited by over 10 million fans in 300 cities.
So, having these numbers in mind, it was thought the Netflix House would be a great idea to continue doing this but improved and permanent in each headquarter of the company. At the end of 2025, both houses will open and it’s expected another one in Las Vegas StripS, let’s see what you could find in each of them.
Philadelphia, King of Prussia mall
Here you could enjoy things like a combined experienced between Wednesday and One Piece, among other activities like:
- ‘’Wednesday: the eve of the marginalized’’: it’s a fun scholar fair that transforms into a dark tour full of surprises.
- ‘’One Piece: Quest for the Devil Fruit’’: a great risk race where you need to avoid villains to get the mysterious Devil Fruit before the protagonists.
- Netflix Virtuals: thanks to virtual reality technology, you could immerse yourself in the games and become one of the main characters of your favorite movies and series.
- Top 9: this is a mini golf of 9 holes with an interactive system that will allow you to unlock games and challenges while playing.
- TUDUM Theater: a special cinema where exclusive series, movies and events of the platform will be shown.
Dallas, Galleria Dallas
This will more focused on suspense and action with activities like:
- ‘’Stranger Things: Escape the Dark’’: a mission to get into the Hawkins’ ruins and try to find 3 missing people.
- ‘’Squid Game: Survive the Trials’’: it’s a recreation of the famous show.
- Netflix RePLAY: a modern room full of games including physical challenges, thematic rooms and retro style games.
