New Walmart stores
The company has confirmed it will open new stores in two states during the month of January. These openings are part of a strategy to expand its presence in different communities and serve more customers.
The first store will open on January 14 in Apollo Beach, Florida. This new location is thought to serve thousands of people who live in this area and also create new job opportunities.
The second store will open in Eastvale, California, in the middle of January. This will be a very important store for Walmart since it will be the first store of the chain in this city.

This store will be complete and very large, with 170,000 square feet of space. This new location will feature:

More stores on the way
These openings in January are not the only ones. Walmart stated that it’s also planning on opening new stores in other cities of Florida, like Ocala, Jacksonville, and The Villages; but they are planned to open at the beginning of 2026.

Walmart has named all of these changes and improvements ‘’Store of the Future’’, which is a concept that focuses on creating more up-to-date stores, with better designs, more services, and the use of modern technology.
In May, Walmart opened a store with this concept in Houston, Texas, which included several innovations and important changes. This store was used as an example of the type of improvements the company plans to apply in hundreds of more locations.
About 650 stores are scheduled to receive these improvements in the future.
