The automotive brand Dartz, known for producing some of the world’s most over-the-top SUVs, has decided to start dipping their toes in the U.S market. This luxury brand specializes in military-grade armor protection and luxury SUV which make the delight of anyone who wishes to have a secure top of the line vehicle that comes with fun customization, like diamond accents, animal skin trim, and even high-end vodka that they source for their elite clientele.
While the brand has imported a few of their vehicles to the U.S, after all they do have clients worldwide that appreciate the luxury aspect of the cars, their presence has not been as great as it could be and the Latvian designer and manufacturer has decided to jump to the other side of the Atlantic and start producing and selling some of their impressive models in the States.
The new Dartz production facility in the United States
While very few details have been finalized and thus announced, the company has hinted that they will choose Florida for their new manufacturing facility. It is not typically a place where cars are produced, but the price of land plus the closeness to a major port to import components and finished cars could play an important role when choosing where to set up. After all, this is not a mass production operation, as the cars that they sell are highly customized and almost made to order.
To facilitate their integration into the market they have also signed agreements with several dealerships both on the West and East Coasts, which will help them move the cars that they do not produce to order and to get clients with a bespoke taste.
One thing that we do know is that the first model to be officially launched in the U.S. will be the Black Stallion Type C from Dartz’s Prombron brand. Since the factory to produce them in the US is still not up and running, the first few models that will be sold will still come from the original Dartz’s plant in Riga, Latvia.
To ensure that customers know what they are purchasing the brand sent a Black Stallion Type C to Los Angeles as a test car that will be driven around the country as a publicity tour before ending up in Miami, where the company will hopefully house it as a demo car. But it seems like the efforts may have been premature, as there are already some interested parties that wish to purchase one of these luxury vehicles sight unseen.
For now, the company has announced that they will begin accepting orders from the U.S consumers that wish to get a Black Stallion Type C. It can be ordered with the chassis of either a Hummer H2 or a Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, but depdening on the level of customization that the client wishes to include they may not have a choice on which option will better suit their needs. For example, for those opting for the GLS-Class chassis, a twin-turbocharged V-8 powertrain rated at 1,500 hp is available.
The Black Stallion Type C, designed for the U.S. market, features a unique interior inspired by Dartz’s Prombron Kombat SUV, famously seen in the 2012 comedy “The Dictator.” Dartz also plans to offer a more luxurious version, the Type CLV, with enhanced interior customization options, including trims influenced by the yacht interiors of Aristotle Onassis. The company is considering additional body styles, such as a Landaulet with an automated rear soft-top. Pricing reflects the brand’s ultra-luxury positioning, often described as adding extra zeros to a chosen figure, defying traditional consumer logic.
